It was then performed locally during a short play festival. Wagner went on to expand the story into a one-act play which subsequently win the 2012 <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts\u2019 New Rocky Mountain Voices <\/i>award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>That same year, Wagner approached Nilles about adapting the script into a short film.
