About

The original ten minute stage play, Bleach Bone, was written in one night in 2010 after Wagner came across Eric Ashcraft’s painting, Summertime, in an art gallery in Missoula, MT. It was then performed locally during a short play festival. Wagner went on to expand the story into a one-act play which subsequently win the 2012 Westcliffe Center for the Performing Arts’ New Rocky Mountain Voices award.

That same year, Wagner approached Nilles about adapting the script into a short film. An all-local cast and crew was assembled, and most of the exterior scenes were shot over a single weekend in Hamilton, Montana.
